At The Skating Academy, our mission has always been to create a space where every child can grow, feel empowered, and discover their true potential through skating. Today, we are incredibly excited to announce a major step toward that vision:

We are now officially approved vendors for the Step Up for Students Scholarship Program!

This partnership enables us to provide children from low-income families and students with unique abilities with the opportunity to enjoy a safe, supportive, and professional environment for practicing skating, at little to no cost to their families.

Why This Matters?

Skating is more than a sport. For many children, it becomes a source of confidence, healthy habits, and lifelong values. Through this program, eligible families can now use their Step Up scholarship funds to enroll in our classes and enjoy all the benefits our academy offers.

Through skating, children learn:

• Discipline – building habits and skills through consistent practice

• Resilience – overcoming challenges, falling, getting back up stronger

• Mindset – believing in themselves, setting goals, and achieving them

• Healthy living – staying active, improving motor skills, and developing balance and coordination

• Community – connecting with other kids, making friends, and feeling supported

Sports have the power to change lives. We want to ensure that this opportunity is accessible to as many families as possible.

Who Can Benefit?

If your child receives scholarships through programs such as:

• FTC (Florida Tax Credit Scholarship)

• FES-UA (Unique Abilities Scholarship)

• Hope Scholarship

…then you may now apply those funds directly toward skating lessons at The Skating Academy.
